Mean words, public exposure, telling secrets, cutting someone down to size,
getting treated like the pig you are: there's BDSM you can do with someone's
body, and BDSM you can do with their mind. Of the two, the mind is
definitely the more difficult one to work with. This class explores styles
of play that revolve around the psychological and social status of the
participants. Learn how to tell the difference between humiliation and
degradation, to know how to negotiate psychological play and where the
thrills and dangers lurk in making someone feel really bad on the inside.
We'll be using examples from personal experience and popular culture. |
12:00PM-1:30PM - Saturday, July 3, 2010 - Salon D
Fire has long been a fickle servant of man. The hypnotic flicker of flames
fascinates yet scares us, as it can easily turn against us. Together these
make fireplay so intriguing and compelling on an emotional level. Spectacular
from a visual aspect, the warmth generated by fire is not surprising; and
done correctly, it provides the warmth without burning. Yet it is the
danger, akin to a taboo, that also provides some of the thrill in this play.
Topics covered include: Safety, Tools for simple play, Warm ups, Simple
patterns, and Fire wands. |
