Music can bypass our thoughts and directly effect our emotions. The right words, well spoken, can create fear, anticipation, or arousal in your lover. We'll talk about how and why our aural sense affects us; how to choose the right music (or silence) for a scene, how to talk your lover into a passion or a predicament and what words you should never say while talking dirty. |

Food and sex touch us at the core. How and when we are fed or feed others
goes to the center of our social and animal natures. This class looks at
the ways to explore the intimacies inherent in playing with food. Often
presented as a gauzy sensual indulgence, food can also be a powerful part of
a D/s relationship, incorporating control, interrogation, conditioning as
well as the entire range of physical pleasures of wet and messy play. The
discussion will be wide-ranging and will draw on the presenter's experiences
in the gainer/encourager community. |

Electricity – it can be the spark that lights up your night of play. But the
price can be overwhelming for mere enthusiasts: top-of-the-line electrical
toys are incredibly expensive. Boymeat will show you a range of lesser-known
toys that are kinder to your purse, and demonstrate a variety of shocking
ways to use them. |

Some animals are made to be tamed... to be harnessed as beasts of burden or coddled as pets. Some can only be sated, and woe be to those who stand between these feral beasts and their prey. Others are runts of the pack, knowing only the pathetic existence of the Omega. In this class we will discuss a variety of feral roles, how the players come to their roles, and how things can play out. |
4:30PM-6:00PM - Saturday, July 3, 2010 - Salon B

2:30PM-4:00PM - Saturday, July 3, 2010 - Boardroom A
Do you identify as a sadist or as a masochist? What are the historical
backgrounds of these terms and how do those histories inflect their meanings
in contemporary BDSM? This class will introduce and highlight key details in
the biographies of the Marquis de Sade (1740-1814) and Leopold von
Sacher-Masoch (1836-1895). The class will also trace the coinage and
multi-lingual etymology of the terms "sadist" and "masochist" from
19th-century sexology through contemporary sex-positive culture, with an
emphasis on the often neglected regional, political, and class contexts.
This class is based in part on the presenter's original research. |
