Wrestling Ring Rules and Guidelines
1. Pre-Scene Negotiation: Before entering the ring, all participants must thoroughly discuss and agree on every aspect of the scene. We highly recommend checking-in with the Dungeon Monitor (DM) regarding any props you plan to use and the number of participants involved. Scenes involving four or more people do require check-in with the DM.
2. Ropes: No climbing onto the ropes or jumping off said ropes is permitted.
3. Safety Signals: For safety during all play scenes in the ring, the established signal to immediately stop the scene is calling out “RED” and/or tapping an opponent.
4. The DM will use a whistle to alert of any situations where imminent danger is involved.
5. Props: Any props used within the ring must be pliable and made from softer materials such as foam noodles, cardboard, or Nerf foam.
6. Ring Boundaries: All matches and play scenes must stay within the physical boundaries of the wrestling ring. Play is not permitted outside the ropes or on any surrounding mats.
7. Play Sparring: Play sparring is allowed as long as these guidelines are followed.
8. No chokes or strangulation holds shall be permitted.
9. Boxing: No boxing matches shall be permitted. No knockouts.
10. All participants in the ring must be barefoot or wear wrestling shoes.
11. If there is any active bleeding, the scene must be stopped immediately.
12. DM Authority: Dungeon Monitors (DMs) have the authority to interpret these rules and make final decisions during a match. Their rulings are considered final.
Please keep in mind that these rules are intended as general guidelines.
