Vikan
Vikan (she/they) is a queer masochist, photographer, and bootblack who’s been active in the NYC kink scene since 2011. A chaos-loving weirdo who is somehow both extremely outgoing and painfully shy, she runs on snacks, aerial arts, and an incurable fascination with leather. She loves the care, history, and intimacy of well-loved boots—and yes, she absolutely wants to touch yours… if you’ll let her.

Axel
Axel is a bootblack in the NYC & LHV area who began his bootblack journey two years ago. He loves the opportunity to connect individually with people while providing a service and learning about the history of leather.

Jasper
boy_jasper (they/he). Jasper is a queer, neurodivergent nerd on the right side of the slash with a deep love of developing skills, sharing space with others, and seeking the next steps on their journey. Growing up with an awareness of shining shoes morphed into taking up bootblacking in earnest circa 2017, and it has become a core facet of their identity in an ever-more-chaotic world.

Cassie
I am a sexual outlaw. I hold community and honor as sacrosanct. Trans Mutual Aid endeavors are very important to me.
Storytelling of all kinds moves me deeply; its capacity for bringing queer communities together is so important to me.
I am in the second year of my leather journey. I post monthly LeatherDyke/LeatherQueer event calendars for my home of Western NY.

Joe Cool
Joe Cool is a queer, polyamorous switch (‘goofball, mostly bottom, somewhat masochistic, service-y, opportunistic switch’ might be more accurate) who enjoys a variety of kinky activities. He’s been a happy, occasionally active member of the DC/Baltimore scene for over a decade. His interest in BDSM goes back to discovering his sexuality in college. He started out strongly identified as a submissive and has evolved over time to his present status as a switch. His passions include service, leather, and puns. He is a proud member of the Pittsburgh Queer Leather Family (PQLF) and happily involved with some fantastic queers. His day job is being a computer nerd, and he is very happy to have a conversation about technology, privacy, and their intersection with kink. He’s also open to discussions on leather, power exchange, bootblacking, and jokes so good they make you groan out loud. Good luck getting him to stop talking once he overcomes being somewhat introverted. You may have seen him at various RopeCrafts, Dark Odyssey events, IMsL, MAL, and other events in the mid-Atlantic.

Teddy
Teddy is a very experienced bootblack hailing from Minneapolis, MN. She is a member of the Twin Cities Bootblacks. She has been shining shoes and boots her whole life, but didn’t know it was a “thing.” It’s totally a thing! It is one of her greatest passions, and she does it extremely well.

Xander
Xander is a queer trans man who has been serving his community as a bootblack for eight years. He has bootblacked at TES Fest, Dungeons & Geekdoms, the Fetish Fair Fleamarket, KinkyCon, and smaller public and private events. His public bootblack work has ranged from running the stand at several cons to serving as the regular bootblack at a monthly kink night. Between events, he hosts bootblack parties to grow his local community. He loves fine detail work, seriously messed-up boots, and energetic connection in the stand.
